Special Sessions

  • Forum Women in Neuroscience
Date August 31 / Time 12:20-14:50 / Room Grand ballroom

The Korean Society for Brain and Neural Science is committed to the advancement of women in neuroscience. Despite of increasing participation of women scientists in academic and industrial professional settings, only a very few women neuroscientists reach to the middle-management lever or higher. This year, we are proudly presenting our first women in neuroscience session for KSBNS members, hoping to provide opportunities to meet other women neuroscientists at different levels of their career (from students to PI and industry professionals), to highlight recent research achievements of young women neuroscientists, to discuss the challenges women may confront in research career and personal lives and to share wise and successful strategies to overcome gender-bias in the field.
